Experience of interaction with Hiring manager/ Business Interview
Do you think that the interview process was relevant to the role you got assessed for ?
Comment : The HR had a long discussion understanding my background post which I was given a problem and prepare a presentation.
After spending enough time on the presentation was asked to interview with someone who was to be at a junior level than me. The rationale being that this was a new role and they did not have anyone at that senior level.
Considering there is a conflict of interest, it would have been better to have me speak the the management.
The person I spoke with was very tactical a d operational and I could clearly see that he has not played a strategic role before which was needed for the role I was being considered for. Still I felt that the discussion went well, in fact the person did not answers to lot of questions I had about the future vision and plans if the product/company - as the persona was playing a transactional role.
Ultimately, I never heard back from the HR even after couple of reminders.
My advice - Respect other’s time especially when you wanted to hire a senior position - no point giving me a problem before being sure of your hiring strategy.
